We are pleased you made the decision to visit our web site and we hope you find it both educational and interesting. Our goal here is to educate you about colon hydrotherapy and to answer as many questions as we possibly can in order to diffuse any apprehension and dispel any myths you may have about the process.
Touch-less Colonics
One of our priorities is to make patients feel as comfortable as possible; therefore, is important to mention that the colonics offered in our clinics are Touch-less, meaning that patient will never be exposed to be seen or touched by our staff while undress.
The purpose of getting a colonic is to remove all waste and gas from the large bowel.
This is encouraged by gently irrigating the colon with temperature-controlled, gravity fed, purified water.
The cleansing process takes approximately 45 minutes starting at the moment the patient is placed in his room. The process is gentle and usually pain free. However, mild cramping may occur during the session due to large pockets of gas and impaction of waste moving through the colon. This discomfort is only temporary and usually occurs with clients who are suffering with chronic constipation, bowel impaction, and excessive gas.
Colon therapy is also known as colon hydrotherapy, colon irrigation or Colonic.
The medical term is high enema and it is a safe gentle infusion of filtered, temperature controlled water into the large intestine (colon) by gravity.
Constipation is a very common problem caused by 8 or more contributing factors.
And sometimes people are just born with lazy bowels. If the issue of constipation is not addressed and taken seriously then many other health issues can arise, such as diverticulitis and colon cancer.
The colon cleansing nozzles are prescription only. They come individually sealed in their own package and are completely sterile. I always wait to open the container in the presence of each client to ensure sterilization. As you can tell from this photo, the nozzle is quite small, no larger than an ink pen. You insert the nozzle only about three inches.
An individual, sterile package of white petroleum USP coats the end of the cleansing nozzle. Once you remove the petroleum package, the lubricant remains on the end, which allows the nozzle to be inserted easily. You never have to be concerned about over-inserting the nozzle because it only sticks out past the elimination compartment about 3.5 inches. This entire process is completely safe and extremely efficient in eliminating the waste from the large bowel (colon).
This is a 45 Seconds animation of a colonic in the Angel of Water system. We also have available the Libbie System which is an open system as well, very similar to the Angel of Water.
